Motive started as a complaint.
Every week there was something on that we'd have gone to, and every week we found out about it afterwards, from someone who went.
Why this exists
Hundreds of societies, nowhere to find them.
Every university has the same problem. There are hundreds of societies, all putting on things people would genuinely want to go to, and no single place to find any of it. The events live on Instagram stories, in group chats, on posters nobody reads — and they're gone in a day.
So the people who'd have loved a thing find out afterwards, and the society that spent three weeks organising it plays to half a room.

One campus, properly
A feed that's genuinely full at LSE beats ten campuses where it's empty. We move when students here would be annoyed if we took it away.
No dark patterns
No streaks, no manufactured urgency, no notifications designed to drag you back in. You open it because something's on, and close it once you know what.
Friends in person only
You add someone by scanning their code when you're stood next to them. There's no search and no friend suggestions, so nobody can find you who hasn't met you.
Say what's true
We haven't launched, so there are no user numbers on this site and no testimonials. When they're real they'll say so.
